Instituto Murciano de Investigación y Desarrollo Agrario y Alimentario (IMIDA)  is a public research institute whose priority is to accommodate the research needs of the agro-food sector of the Region of Murcia, Spain. IMIDA is strongly committed to research and innovation, being a very active research organization in the agro-food sector and responsible for the guidelines in agriculture and water, the Common Agricultural Policy and research and technological development in agrifood sciences. IMIDA has been involved in 12 European projects. IMIDA has an institutional implication in the implementation of the EIP-AGRI through the regional Rural Development Program, promoting the setup of Operational Groups and innovation projects, to put in practice relevant research results as a powerful technology transfer mean.

Main Tasks. IMIDA will set up a living lab in Murcia (WP1) together with the set up and assessment of ES2 (WP2). It will lead WP3 and carry out an integrated assessment of the sustainability of the DREAM agroecosystem both considering the productive performance as well as the ecosystem services provided. Assessment tools will include Life Cycle Assessment and Economic and financial analysis, while also considering social benefits such as maintaining the typical land stewardship of orchard ecosystem.
