
Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA-MO)
INRA-MO is a public organization created in 1914, mandated to undertake basic, applied and strategic research for agricultural development. It leads projects of targeted research to: i) improve productivity, competitiveness and sustainability of agricultural production; ii) characterize, preserve and valorize natural resources; iii) improve quality and diversifying plant and animal products and iv) analyse social demand and production systems. INRA-MO is present in different agro-ecological areas of Morocco with 10 regional centers devoted to agricultural sciences. Research on annual and perennial crops covers a range of areas including plant breeding, biotechnology, biochemistry, physiology, agronomy and plant protection. INRA-MO counts a total of 23 experimental stations, several endemic, traditional and exotic collections of large number of species along with many labs which covers all abovementioned disciplines.
Main Tasks. INRA-MO will lead WP1, contributing to the characterization of the existing apple system, consulting stakeholders, designing the experimental plot (ES) and upscaling the DREAM approach. In WP2 it will set up ES2 while contributing to WP3 with socio-economic inputs from its location. It will also actively contribute to WP5.
